The Trinity Academy Tigers pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wake Christian Academy. If Trinity Academy hoped to take revenge for the 61-58 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Wake Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Beckett Coon out in front who scored 22 points. Coon hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Williams, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Trinity Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Wake Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Trinity Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ravenscroft at 6:45 p.m. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Cary Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
