 Duncan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Isaiah Sumner, who  dropped  a double-double on 12  points and ten  rebounds. Sumner is  on a roll when it comes to  boards, as he's  now  pulled down ten or more in the last five games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taygan Jensen, who  posted 18 points and five  assists.
 Willcox found their leader in sophomore  JD Whetten, who  went 5 for 11  on his way to 15  points in addition to five  rebounds and three  steals. The dominant performance gave  Whetten a new career-high in points.  Jahir Reyes was another key player,  going 6 of 13  en route to 13  points and five  steals.
Duncan's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Willcox, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 12-11.
 Duncan has  already played their next  matchup (against Valley Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Willcox didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  45-30  win against Patagonia on the 4th.
