New Palestine secured a 52-48 W over Pendleton Heights. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Palestine.
Vivian Miller was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Allie Blum, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Pendleton Heights had strong showings from Adah Hupfer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Kaycie Warfel, who scored 19 points along with three steals. That was a full 39.6% of Pendleton Heights' points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Jones, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
New Palestine's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. As for Pendleton Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
New Palestine will be playing in front of their home fans against Waldron at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Waldron is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Pendleton Heights won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rushville at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Rushville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday.
