Scotland Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Zoey Neff and Layla Nicolosi. Neff scored 12 points along with eight steals and six assists, while Nicolosi scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals. That was a full 45.2% of Scotland Christian Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Scotland Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Calvary Christian, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scotland Christian Academy will take on Thomas Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomas Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 618th, while Scotland Christian Academy is ranked 237th). Calvary Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oak Level Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 12th.
