Chloe Vandyke and Lindsey Henry were among the main playmakers for South Paulding as the former scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vandyke has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaylah Middlebrooks, who scored ten points.
Alexander can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They breezed by Kennesaw Mountain on the road to the tune of 62-21. That looming 62-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Alexander yet this season.
Alexander's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elon Williams, who scored 17 points. Williams continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ibidunni, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
South Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Alexander, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Tuesday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: South Paulding have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 36.3 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Alexander, though, as they've been averaging only 34.2 rebounds per game. Given South Paulding's sizeable advantage in that area, Alexander will need to find a way to close that gap.
