Basketball Recap: Dietrich Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dietrich entered their tilt with Gooding on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Gooding Senators by a score of 57-50. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Senators, too.

Dietrich's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aleigha Robertson, who posted 23 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Robertson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Paje Van Tassell, who put up ten points and eight boards.

Several Senators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Day, who scored 14 points. Day continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Avorie Butler also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Dietrich has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Gooding, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Dietrich didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-29 win against Hansen on the 27th. Gooding has also already played their next contest, a 48-33 victory against Wood River on the 28th.
