They weren't the only good servers: Space Coast was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Astronaut got the win against Titusville on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.
While Astronaut might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Titusville scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.
Space Coast better focus on containing Jojo Demers and Siena Allotta as the pair were huge in Astronaut's win. Demers had 14 digs and four assists, while Allotta had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Allotta has posted over her last six matches.
Astronaut's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Space Coast, their win bumped their record up to 8-17.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Space Coast hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 5.3 blocks per game. It's a different story for Astronaut, though, as they've been averaging only 1.6 blocks. Given Space Coast's sizable advantage in that area, the War Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Space Coast suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Astronaut in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Vipers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
