The Easley Green Wave will venture away from home to  square off against the Woodmont Wildcats  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Easley proved they can win big  last Friday (they won by 12) and  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Greenwood  3-2.

 Jalyn McGee was a major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Those  16  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  run. That  triple was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Olivia Merck, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Payton Todd also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Meanwhile, Woodmont waltzed into their game  on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Red Raiders  a   10-0 shutout. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 Easley is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Woodmont, their victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-4.
 Easley suffered a grim  11-1 defeat to Woodmont  in their previous matchup  back in March. Can the Green Wave avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
