This season hasn't been kind to the Cedar Key Sharks, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They took a hard 47-31 fall against Ocala Christian on Friday. Cedar Key lost against Ocala Christian in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-43 score last time.
Ocala Christian found their leader in underclassman Rodney Paz, who scored 18 points. Conrad Bloom was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Cedar Key bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ocala Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Cedar Key will be home for the holidays to greet Branford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ocala Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Real Life Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Real Life Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
