On Friday, Churchill County didn't have too much trouble with Portola on the road as they won 42-23.
Churchill County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kortnie Simper, who scored 7 points along with 5 steals. Madasyn Moyle was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win got Churchill County back to even at 1-1. As for Portola, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Churchill County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Yerington at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Portola, they will face off against Lassen at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
