On Friday, Greenback are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Sunbright at 7:30 PM. Greenback have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Greenback was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Christian Academy of Knoxville 63-20. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Greenback had established a 49-20 advantage.
Meanwhile, Sunbright had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-21 punch to the gut against Sale Creek on Friday. The rankings had actually given Sunbright a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Greenback's win lifted them to 2-0 while Sunbright's loss dropped them down to 0-1. Sunbright's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Greenback defensive front that amassed 3 sacks against Christian Academy of Knoxville, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
