The Blum Bobcats will face off against the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought game, but Blum had to settle for a 55-52 loss against Penelope. Blum has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Valor Preparatory Academy took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 53-20 win over Memorial Christian Academy. The victory was just what Valor Preparatory Academy needed coming off of a 109-39 defeat in their prior game.
Valor Preparatory Academy relied on the efforts of Thomas Guess, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, and Caedmon Thompson, who scored 12 points. Thompson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Ben Brown was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Coolidge's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Blum's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.
