Goleman won the last time they faced Mourning, and things went their way on Thursday, too. Goleman put a hurting on Mourning to the tune of 45-0. Goleman were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Junior Anthony Hernandez, who threw 4 TDs and picked up 96 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Goleman's success. Senior Jaylin Johnson was in the mix, too, providing Goleman with 2 touchdowns. The contest brought them to 2-0 and dropped Mourning to a mirror-image 0-2.
Goleman looks to establish their home field advantage next week as they take on Reagan at 4:00 PM. As for Mourning, they will face off against South Miami.
