Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark Skates Past Midview with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berea-Midpark). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-26 win over the Midview Middies. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Midview had strong showings from Leila Morgan, who posted eight points and three steals, and Leah DiFranco, who had seven points.

Berea-Midpark is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36 points. As for Midview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea-Midpark and Brunswick will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. Berea-Midpark is facing Brunswick at the right time seeing as Brunswick is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Midview, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Beaumont School at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Midview will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Beaumont School will have lost five straight heading into Saturday's game.
