It was a good run, but Grace Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans at home by a 68-50 margin. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaedyn Cole, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Jimmy Zimmerman was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.
Grace Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will venture away from home to challenge Mount Zion Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Zion Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.6 points per game this season. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against Calvary Day School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Day School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Wesleyan Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
