The Moody Blue Devils had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past Scottsboro with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Moody.
Blaine Burke continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 141 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 46 receiving yards. Jacob Hadaway was another key contributor, rushing for 64 yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Moody's defense and their four sacks. Scottsboro's QB won't forget Zane Smith anytime soon given Smith sacked him twice.
Moody is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Scottsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Moody will be playing at home against Russellville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Russellville is ranked 71st, while Moody is ranked 61st). Scottsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
