Lee County has gone a perfect 6-0 against Hoke County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lee County Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to face off against the Hoke County Bucks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Lee County didn't have quite enough to beat Union Pines and fell 4-3. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lee County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Miles, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with one double. Brad Jordan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hoke County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Scotland on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Bucks were not able to get on the board.

Carson Hewitt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

Hoke County's record is now 1-4. As for Lee County, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-2.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lee County has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hoke County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Lee County took their victory against Hoke County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 19-6. Does Lee County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hoke County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
