The Griffith Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 71-22 blowout they got at home against Wheeler. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Griffith has managed all season.
Griffith found their leader in underclassman Jalen Wilson, who scored ten points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Cameron Chandler was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.

The victory (which was Griffith's third in a row) raised their record to 7-5. As for Wheeler, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Griffith will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hanover Central at 7:00 p.m. Wheeler on the road again on Saturday and play against DeMotte Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully DeMotte Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
