Volleyball Recap: Hoover Gets the Win

Hoover won the last time they faced Redwood and things went their way on Saturday too. The Patriots came out on top against the Rangers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

While Hoover won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Avery Roberson paced Hoover's offense, picking up 11 kills. Roberson were helped by Ophelia Ly and Alejandra Espino, who contributed ten assists each. Ly and Espino didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Redwood, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Hoover has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Yosemite on the 30th. As for Redwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Sierra on the 30th.
