The Hartland Eagles will head out to face off against the Fenton Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Hartland's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Lakeland 8-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hartland.
Olivia Forrest made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skylar Spisz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Maddie Moore also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Hartland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Fenton came tearing into Monday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Dragons as they made off with a 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 20 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Abby Golen made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Golen was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Izzy MacCaughan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Taryn Craven, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Fenton pushed their record up to 21-3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hartland, their record is now 8-5-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hartland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Fenton struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hartland was able to grind out a solid victory over Fenton in their previous matchup back in June of 2023, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
