Last Friday, Hamilton Southeastern came up short against Fishers and fell 64-57. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hamilton Southeastern in their matchups with Fishers: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite their loss, Hamilton Southeastern saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nate Orr, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Orr hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Michael Griffith, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Hamilton Southeastern were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Christel House put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Providence Cristo Rey at home to the tune of 74-30. Christel House might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 28 points or more this season.
Christel House's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaden Davis, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Davis' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamar Jones, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds.
Hamilton Southeastern now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Christel House, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
