The Torrey Pines Falcons's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past El Camino with points to spare, taking the game 64-45. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Torrey Pines considering their 19-point performance the contest before.
Dylan Kail was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Torrey Pines pushed their record up to 20-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for El Camino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.
Torrey Pines is on the road again on Friday and plays La Costa Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. One thing working in La Costa Canyon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. As for El Camino, they will be playing at home against Carlsbad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carlsbad will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something El Camino surely won't give up without a fight.
