Baseball Recap: Valor South Austin Has No Trouble Against Texas Wind

It's playoff time, and Valor South Austin had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against Texas Wind on Friday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Raynor Kazynski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beck Forrester, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Valor South Austin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are undefeated (11-0) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Valor South Austin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Texas Wind, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16-1.

Coming up, Valor South Austin will head out to challenge Austin Crusaders HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Texas Wind does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
