The Heritage Hawks can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Brookstone as Heritage made off with a 60-39 win. The victory was nothing new for Heritage as they're now sitting on five straight.
Heritage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Robert bolinger out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Max Skidmore was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chapman Dykes, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Thomas Henderson, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Heritage pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Brookstone, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.
Heritage will look to defend their home court on Thursday against St. Anne-Pacelli at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (St. Anne-Pacelli is ranked 46th, while Heritage is ranked 24th). Brookstone won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Mary's Academy at 11:30 a.m. on January 20th.
