Basketball Recap: Farrington Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Capistrano Valley Christian, Farrington was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons a 15-0 shutout. The 15-point effort marked the Governors' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Farrington's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Farrington will finish 2024 at home by hosting Castle at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on American Heritage Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas is facing American Heritage Academy at the right time seeing as American Heritage Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
