The La Lumiere Blue Lakers will head out on the road to take on the Victory Christian Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in La Lumiere Blue's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
In what's become a running theme this season, La Lumiere Blue gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by Calumet Christian at home to the tune of 83-41. Given La Lumiere Blue's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Calumet Christian is ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak two weeks ago. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Andrean.
La Lumiere Blue pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.8 points per game. As for Victory Christian Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
La Lumiere Blue strolled past Victory Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 78-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Lumiere Blue since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
