Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Le Roy Oatkan Knights walked away with it. They blew past East Rochester-Gananda 37-6 at home. The victory was just business as usual for Le Roy, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Le Roy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drew Strollo, who rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Piazza, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Le Roy's victory was their sixth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.3 points per game. As for East Rochester-Gananda, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Le Roy will take on Attica/Alexander at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Attica/Alexander is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. East Rochester-Gananda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
