Addy Maxwell put in work no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and 13 unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 5-for-5. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Madi Conrad made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Hurley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Southwest, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
