After a string of three wins, the Heath Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Licking Heights. Heath was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Heath lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caroline Robertson, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Robertson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Cash, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Licking Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Heath will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Northridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Wednesday. As for Licking Heights, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Aces at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Granville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
