Atlantic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Lake Worth Christian on Monday as Atlantic made off with a 15-5 win. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly ten runs.
Thomas Krolikowski made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michael Bird, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Reich, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
Atlantic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Worth Christian only posted a batting average of .182.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach Gardens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Westminster Academy, falling 8-1. The game marked the Gators' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Palm Beach Gardens saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Valencia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Atlantic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. Palm Beach Gardens' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Atlantic's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. Atlantic has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Palm Beach Gardens, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Atlantic continue to outrun the ball?
