On Saturday, Homefires was beaten by First Baptist Academy 72-36.
Despite the loss, Homefires still got an impressive performance from Colin Chesnut, who scored 26 points. That was a full 72.2% of Homefires' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Rademacher, who scored eight points.
Homefires has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for First Baptist Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Homefires' road trip will continue as they head out to face First Baptist Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for First Baptist Academy, they will take on Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lebanon is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
