The North Creek Jaguars suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Mount Si 93-48. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Creek in their matchups with Mount Si: they've now lost eight in a row.
North Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Silas Woodward, who scored 11 points. Romen Jackson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
It was another big night for Trevor Hennig, who shot 4-for-5 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds for Mount Si. Hennig has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Forrest, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists.
North Creek bumped their record down to 8-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Mount Si, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Creek will face off against Eastlake at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastlake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 295th, while North Creek is ranked 107th). As for Mount Si, they will head out on the road to challenge Skyline at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Skyline has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 207 points over their last three matches.
