Bishop Kelley is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Grove is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bishop Kelley Comets will take on the Grove Ridgerunners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kelley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Grove likes a good challenge.
Bishop Kelley put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 55-20 victory over Nathan Hale on the road. Given Bishop Kelley's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Nathan Hale is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Grove had to suffer through a rough 46-7 loss at the hands of Pryor.
Bishop Kelley's win bumped their season record to 7-2 while Grove's loss dropped theirs to 5-4.
Bishop Kelley might still be hurting after the 41-20 defeat they got from Grove in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Bishop Kelley, Emmanuel Crawford (who rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.2 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
