Cincinnati Hills recap Sept. 26, 2012
Bradley Steimle and Tyler Cook provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Madeira. The connection went for 75 yards, the longest such play in Cincinnati Hills this season.
Mariemont moved up to 397 from 491 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Warriors were able to make the jump by beating Indian Hill 36-14.
Mariemont's dynamic duo of Matt Stewart and David Cowart proved tough for the Braves to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Stewart threw for 193 yards and three touchdowns and Cowart had 128 yards receiving. Nick Jones helped Mariemont's passing attack out by catching four balls for 51 yards.
Terrell Dailey was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 113 yards on 23 carries as Wyoming bested Indian Hill. Teammate Will Marty added to the ground attack by rushing for 53 yards.
Cook made the biggest impact on defense this week as Finneytown fell to the Mustangs. The 6-foot-0 senior grabbed one sack.
Wyoming's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cowboys feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Marty has thrown for 1156 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Ben Kurtz has 30 catches for 464 yards. Dailey leads the league in rushing with 504 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Madeira takes on Reading. The Mustangs are in first place, while the Blue Devils are in fourth place.
The Cowboys took down Reading 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Marty threw for 160 yards and one touchdown in the win.
