The Harlan Hawks will take on the Warren Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Harlan's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
Harlan is returning to their home field after beating Taft on theirs, despite the fact Taft has dominated at home this season. The Hawks put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 15-3 victory on Friday. Harlan's win was all the more impressive since the Raiders were averaging only 4.08 runs allowed on the season.
Kaitlyn Taulbert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Bella Alvarado was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Lugo, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Warren and Sotomayor had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors fell just short of the WILDCATS by a score of 10-9 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.
Emersyn Luis was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Avery Sauceda, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Harlan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.
Everything went Harlan's way against Warren in their previous meeting back in March, as Harlan made off with a 16-4 win. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
