The Oak Grove Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 65-35 win over Wheatmore on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Oak Grove who now have three in a row.
Trista Charles was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-7 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. The game was her 15th in a row with at least ten points. Cora Hadley was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Oak Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Wheatmore, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Oak Grove will head out on the road to face off against Ledford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ledford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Oak Grove is ranked 79th). As for Wheatmore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
