The East Carter Raiders got the win against the Valley Indians on Saturday by a conclusive 13-2. Considering the Raiders have won 17 contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Laken Knipp made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.
