Ezekiel Academy relied on the efforts of Samiya Ballard, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds, and Addi Newell, who had eight points along with six boards and three steals. Newell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Victory Christian Academy on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Varsity Opponent out of the water with a 43-15 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Ezekiel Academy better focus on containing Brooklyn Durden and Cate Sayer as the pair were huge in Victory Christian Academy's win. Durden earned 16 points, while Sayer scored eight points and four steals. That's the most steals Sayer has posted since back in November of 2024. Anne Montgomery was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.
Victory Christian Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.0 points per game.
