The Union Cougars''s six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They had just enough and edged Ben Lomond out 13-10. The win was just what Union needed coming off of a 62-7 loss in their prior game.
Union was led to victory by rylind wood and Gannon Labrum. wood rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown, while Labrum rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Ben Lomond saw an underclassman step up: Manase Tuatagaloa threw for 224 yards and a touchdown.
Union's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Ben Lomond, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.
Union is on the road again on Friday and play against Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. Morgan is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. Ben Lomond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
