The Salisbury Dragons lost against the Greenwood Mennonite Flames back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Salisbury lost to Greenwood Mennonite at home by a decisive 45-26 margin. Salisbury has not had much luck with Greenwood Mennonite recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Laci Mast, who scored 18 points along with two steals for Greenwood Mennonite. Mast is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Carli Welfley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.
Salisbury's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salisbury will face off against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Baptist School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Faith Baptist School: 21.4, Greenwood Mennonite: 20.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
