The St. Paul Lutheran Saints pushed their score all the way to 74 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Versailles 80-74. St. Paul Lutheran has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Ryder Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with two steals for Versailles. That makes it five consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Versailles' points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Albrecht, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
St. Paul Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Versailles, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
St. Paul Lutheran will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Versailles, they will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
