Fort Campbell has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Dawson Springs Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fort Campbell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Monday.
Even though Fort Campbell has not done well against the Panthers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Fort Campbell enjoyed a cozy 51-33 victory over the Panthers. The victory was just what Fort Campbell needed coming off of a 63-15 loss in their prior match.
Rosella Rajj continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Madison Newingham, who scored four points along with 15 rebounds.
Fort Campbell's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Dawson Springs, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Fort Campbell strolled past the Panthers in their previous matchup on Monday by a score of 51-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Campbell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
