It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-45, which was the final score in Gaithersburg's tilt against Seneca Valley on Wednesday. Gaithersburg has struggled against Seneca Valley recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Northwest had to suffer through a rough 54-21 loss at the hands of Clarksburg. While losing is never fun, Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Clarksburg is ranked 34th).
Gaithersburg has not been sharp recently as the team has lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.
Everything came up roses for Gaithersburg against Northwest in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 54-25 victory. Does Gaithersburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
