After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Coahoma County, the West Tallahatchie Choctaws were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past J.Z. George 69-26 at home. With West Tallahatchie ahead 36-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
West Tallahatchie's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Sample, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cavorgie Robinson, who scored 10 points.
The victory got West Tallahatchie back to even at 2-2. As for J.Z. George, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Tallahatchie will challenge Water Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.Z. George, they will head out on the road to face off against Ethel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
