Basketball Game Preview: Sale Creek Panthers vs. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles

The Sale Creek Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sale Creek will be strutting in after a victory while Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will be coming in after a loss.

Sale Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-21 win over Lookout Valley.

Madilynn Ellis had a dynamite game for Sale Creek, going 8 of 13 en route to 17 points and four steals. That's the most points Ellis has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Williams, who posted six points and six steals.

Sale Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts played a tough matchup last Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 79-33 defeat at the hands of Copper Basin. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-15.

Sale Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Sale Creek against Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-16 victory.
