Whitnall lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Shorewood, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Falcons blew past the Greyhounds 11-4 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Whitnall's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Shorewood, they moved to 8-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitnall will challenge Greendale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shorewood, they will square off against New Berlin Eisenhower at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Greyhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
