Make it ten blowout wins for the Windsor Wizards this season. They were the clear victor by a 62-39 margin over Holy Family. Winning may never get old, but Windsor sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnnie Reed led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tadese Keyworth, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Holy Family lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joseph Portillo jr, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gabe Tafoya, who scored nine points.
Windsor's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Holy Family, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will play host again and welcome Greeley Central, where tip off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greeley Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Windsor is ranked 24th). As for Holy Family, they will be playing at home against Silver Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Silver Creek will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
