Jesse Kelley Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Pine Creek's Jesse Kelley, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Kelley made a tackle (1.0 for loss). He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards.
The win made it two in a row for Pine Creek and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Kelley and Pine Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Regis Jesuit at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Jaden Lawrence Dazzles in Legend Victory
Jaden Lawrence put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in November of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.
Lawrence might have his next game, a road matchup with Douglas County, circled on his calendar. Lawrence rushed for 233 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 37 receiving yards the last time he and the Huskies duked it out back in October of 2023.

Fountain-Fort Carson Comes Up Short Despite Huge Game from Underclassman Da'kari Releford Jr
It was an underclassman who stole the show on Friday as Da'Kari Releford Jr came into the game on a mission. He was unstoppable, rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
Fountain-Fort Carson is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. Releford Jr and Fountain-Fort Carson will head out to challenge Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Ryken Banks and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Ryken Banks was instrumental in extending Legend's winning streak to five on Friday. Fountain-Fort Carson had no answer to Banks as he rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
This year, Banks has averaged 19.7 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 6.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 78.86 rushing yards.
