While losing is never fun, Gary West Side can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Lake Station Edison is ranked 177th).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-27, which was the final score in Portage's tilt against Lake Central on Thursday. Portage was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-15.
Gary West Side's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Portage, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
