Roncalli (Indianapolis) bounced back and rolled off 14-straight wins to capture the Indiana Class 4A state championship.
Sophomore sensation
Keagan Rothrock was in the circle against highly ranked Lake Central in the title game. The Florida commit struck out 16, allowed just four hits, and finished the season with 364 strikeouts in 160 innings pitched. The Royals ace is the top-ranked player in the Class of 2023.

Named a first-team MaxPreps All-American after she finished her sophomore season with seven no hitters and a 0.13 ERA.
2. Mia Williams, Windermere Prep (Windermere, Fla.), IFStatus: Committed to Florida
Batted .558 as a sophomore with eight home runs.
3. Ella Parker, Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks, Calif.), PStatus: Committed to Oklahoma
Smashed 15 home runs and went 6-1 in the circle in 2021.
4. Ava Brown, Lake Creek (Montgomery, Texas), P/1BStatus: Committed to Florida
Has a career 21 home runs as a Lion. She is also 21-0 on the bump.
5. Ryan Maddox, Clovis North (Fresno, Calif.), PStatus: Committed to Arizona
First-team MaxPreps Underclass All-America pick led her team to a Division 1 Central Section championship after finishing 20-1 for the Broncos.
6. Kayden Henry, Dickinson (Texas), OFStatus: Committed to Texas
Batted .500 and stole 23 bases for the Gators in 2021.
7. Addie Mettler, Pitman (Turlock, Calif.), C/3BStatus: Committed to UCLA
In 43 plate appearances as a sophomore, Mettler hit .720.
8. Katie Kutz, Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, Va.), PStatus: Committed to Oklahoma State
Helped the Knights capture their ninth straight VISAA Division I title.
9. Ashtyn Danley, Huntland (Tenn.), PStatus: Committed to Florida State
First-team MaxPreps Underclass All-America selection finished with 0.97 ERA in 108 innings of work last spring.
10. Kenleigh Cahalan, Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, Ala.), UTStatus: Committed to Alabama
The 2021 first-team MaxPreps Underclass All-America player was one of the top hitters in the country with 17 home runs, 85 RBI and a .517 batting average.
11. Jenissa Conway, Marysville (Calif.), P/UTStatus: Committed to Michagan
The lefty do-it-all player smashed 10 home runs and batted .493 as a sophomore.
12. Kasidi Pickering, Atascocita (Humble, Texas), UTStatus: Committed to Oklahoma
The Eagles slugger hit 10 runs and batted .500 this past season.
13. Nellians McEnroe-Marinas, Maryknoll (Honolulu), SS/3BStatus: Committed to Oklahoma
Led the Spartans to a 2021 Interscholastic League of Honolulu softball championship.
14. Katherine Flannery, Spain Park (Hoover, Ala.), UTStatus: Committed to Oregon
The Jaguars utility player has 122 plate appearances as a sophomore. She finished with a .410 on base percentage.
15. Kaitlyn Terry, Greenway (Phoenix), PStatus: Committed to UCLA
Returning Gatorade State Player of the Year had 0.29 ERA while striking out 237 in 97.1 innings pitched.
16. Alexa Rosales, Chino Hills (Calif.), OFStatus: Committed to Ole Miss
One of the top outfielders in the class and a big bat to go with it.
17. Moriah Polar, Shadow Creek (Pearland, Texas), OFStatus: Committed to Purdue
An ideal leadoff hitter and center fielder. She brings that lefty slapper speed to the top.
18. Sierra Daniel, Seton Catholic (Chandler, Ariz.), IFStatus: Committed to LSU
An incredible .855 on base percentage in 55 plate appearances for the Sentinels in 2021.
19. Mya Perez, Norco (Calif.), P/1BStatus: Committed to Arizona State
Inland Player of the Year batted .543 with 11 home runs drove in 54 runs.
20. Aissa Silva, Elk Grove (Calif.), PStatus: Undecided
The Thundering Herd's lefty ace struck out 198 and held opponents to a .128 batting average.
